Good Dog! Bubba and his four siblings celebrated their first birthdays on October 27!
Happy 1st Birthday, Good Dogs Nala, April, Buddy, Nova, and Bubba! I hope you had a pawesome and pawsitive special day with your puppy raisers and trainers, complete with at least one belly rub! As one of Good Dog! Bubba’s puppy raisers, I made his birthday special because it is most likely the only one I will spend with him. I hope he will become a good service dog and be with his furever family by the time of his second birthday.

Because he has a fall birthday, I made him a pup-kin Kong with the two ingredients of frozen pumpkin puree and chopped sweet potato bits. He enjoyed licking it out! I froze the rest of the can of pumpkin puree in small blocks to make pup-kin pup-sicles or ready for making another treat!
His other puppy raiser made him a delicious pup-cake, which was rapidly consumed by Good Dog! Bubba. We would love if you made it for your dog(s) too!
Good Dog! Bubba’s Favorite Birthday Pup-cake Recipe:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1 cup flour
1/4 tablespoon baking soda
1/2 cup applesauce
1/8 cup vegetable oil
Stir together all ingredients and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Use up to a cup of applesauce for frosting; freeze cake.
Puppy Biscuits for letters:
Mix 1 ½ cups flour with an egg; bake
